The project involved the design of a guest house within a countryside recreational complex. The challenge was to create an interior that embodies an intellectual vibe with a cozy bohemian atmosphere, subtly infused with a hint of hedonism.
We embraced a theme of contemporary aesthetics with extensive use of screens and smooth fabric roller blinds. The overall color scheme is inspired by "cappuccino with frothy milk" in harmony with tones of wine, grapes, and wheat. The interior is crafted in a monochromatic palette from floor to ceiling, punctuated by vivid spots of art pieces and furniture, providing dynamic visual interest.
All surfaces are made of natural materials to enhance the sense of authenticity and connection to nature. The wood, with its horizontally oriented texture, expands the space and creates a flowing dynamic, while the seamless, sand-colored marble on horizontal surfaces like floors and countertops evokes an illusion of a monolith, adding to the space's elegance and continuity.
The geometry of the built-in furniture and shelves is intentionally robust, conveying a sense of reliability, stability, and luxury. This robustness, combined with the subtle and refined color palette, creates a space that is both intellectually stimulating and aesthetically pleasing, perfect for relaxation and contemplation.
This guest house design uniquely blends modern aesthetics with natural elements and robust geometries, resulting in a space that is both intellectually engaging and luxuriously comforting.
